A story about photography

Strawberry Hill

On the Oregon coast along Pacific Coastal Highway 101, somewhere between Yachats and Florence, lies Strawberry Hill Wayside.  It's a place of natural beauty, with rugged volcanic rock formations jutting out of the sandy beach.  Harbor seals are often found sunning themselves on the rocks just offshore.  On this day, the skies were overcast, so the seals were just laying around on the rocks, kind of like big pieces of driftwood.  This is also a popular place to see starfish in the tide pools that line the coast.  We saw a few, but the recent blight has taken its toll on the starfish population.  Just another on a long list of stops to make if you are ever in this area.  Enjoy some of the imagery from this beautiful place.
