Foggy Photography
When I left work this evening, the temperature was over 70 degrees. By the time I got home, it had dropped to below 50. Now granted, I do have a long commute, but that was a pretty quick drop. The rapid cooling of the warm, saturated air made for some very foggy conditions. So...I thought why not try to make some unique images.
As you can see, the light was very flat and provided very little contrast. What better time than to do some black and white processing.
Then again, damp conditions such as this can make what little color there is in the scene really 'pop'. In the image below, made at a local cemetery, I thought the tree was being quite intrusive.
I guess the lesson to be learned from this is that even when the weather seems less than ideal for photography, there are still some images to be made. You will also learn to see the world around you in a different 'light'.
